[Usage]

*Used for the production of phenylphosphonic acid and dimethyl phenylphosphonate. This product undergoes dehydrochlorination condensation with hydroquinone to generate flame retardant phosphorus containing polymers and is used as a heat stabilizer for polyester;

*In the presence of pyridine, it reacts with octanol to form octyl phenylphosphonate, which can be used as a low volatility plasticizer;

*As an intermediate in pesticides and pharmaceuticals.
