[Usage]

*Synthetic alkyd resin. The molecular structure of trimethylolpropane contains three primary hydroxyl groups, allowing it to replace glycerol in the synthesis of alkyd resins. This resin has better resistance to hydrolysis, soothing reaction stability, alkali resistance, and thermal stability, and has bright colors, strong color retention, temperature resistance, and quick drying. It is suitable for producing road sign paint, gloss paint, etc.

*Production of polyurethane elastomers and foam plastics. Trimethylolpropane is used in the production of polyurethane elastomers and foam plastics. The carbamate produced by the reaction of trimethylolpropane with toluene diisocyanate (TDI) and 1,3-butanediol has high hardness, elasticity and wear resistance, and is used in the manufacture of solid tires, transport belts, sponges, etc.

*Synthetic high grade lubricating oil. Esters of trimethylolpropane can be used to synthesize advanced lubricating oils, which have advantages such as low melting point, high viscosity, high ignition point, and strong buffering reaction performance. They are widely used in the lubrication of aircraft engines, and can be used at temperatures above 200 ℃.

*Prepare plasticizers, surfactants, etc. Trimethylolpropane is also used in the synthesis of plasticizers, surfactants, wetting agents, printing inks, etc. It can also be used as a textile additive and a heat stabilizer for polyvinyl chloride resins.

Trimethylolpropane plays an important role in multiple industries such as coatings, resins, lubricants, plastics, and textiles.
