[Typical Properties]

Colorless to light yellow transparent liquid. It is the most commonly used alkyl hydrogen organic peroxide. The product is generally a light yellow transparent non-volatile liquid, slightly soluble in water and miscible with organic solvents. It is stable, but may explode if heated under closed conditions. Exposure to trace metals, molecular sieves, or other pollutants may accelerate decomposition. Incompatible with reducing agents, combustible materials, and acids.

[Usage]

TBHP is the most commonly used tert alkyl hydroperoxide, which can be used in lotion polymerization, aqueous phase polymerization, curing, graft polymerization and other fields. Its performance is better than that of persulfate, cumene hydroperoxide and benzoyl peroxide in many aspects. The decomposition products of TBHP are mainly tert butanol and a small amount of acetone, which are non corrosive and do not require high equipment requirements. It is also widely used as a polymerization initiator for styrene, acrylic acid, and methacrylic acid. At the same time, it is a vulcanizing agent for natural rubber, which can be used to improve the cetane value of diesel and is a very important organic synthesis intermediate. In addition, it can also be used to manufacture adhesives and drying agents for unsaturated melamine resin coatings. A method for preparing mercaptan in gasoline conversion involves adding a liquid oxygenation agent with an effective component of tert butyl hydrogen peroxide to the flowing gasoline after hydrogen sulfide removal treatment. The tert butyl hydrogen peroxide in the oxygenation agent dissolves in the gasoline during flow. When the gasoline with tert butyl hydrogen peroxide dissolved passes through a dual effect catalyst bed set in a fixed bed reactor with catalytic performance for decomposition of tert butyl hydrogen peroxide and conversion of mercaptan, under the action of the dual effect catalyst, the tert butyl hydrogen peroxide in the gasoline is decomposed to release new ecological active oxygen, and the released oxygen oxidizes the mercaptan in the gasoline to disulfides; The active component of the dual effect catalyst is manganese compounds. The advantages of the present invention are safety, effectiveness, and low cost.
