*Used as a passivation agent for solvents and catalysts;

*Used as fuel and lubricant additives, coking inhibitors for ethylene cracking furnaces and refining units, etc;

*Pesticide intermediates are also the main raw materials for methylsulfonyl chloride and methylsulfonic acid products. They are used in the synthesis of organic phosphorus insecticides such as betamethasone and imidacloprid. The intermediates of methylthio meta cresol and thiopropanol are methylthiophenol, which are efficient and low toxic organic phosphorus insecticides. They have excellent control effects on rice borers, soybean heartworms, and fly larvae. It can also be used as veterinary medicine to eliminate cowfly maggots and cow wall lice.
