*Hydrantoin is commonly found in cosmetics such as shampoo and conditioner, mainly as a preservative. Its properties are stable and not easily decomposed, which can inhibit the production of bacteria in cosmetics and prevent product corrosion or spoilage. Hydrantoin is a broad-spectrum and efficient antibacterial preservative, which maintains stable antibacterial performance in water phase and oil-water lotion, and has good compatibility with various emulsifiers and surfactants. It can inhibit Gram negative and positive bacteria, and has a certain inhibitory effect on yeast and mold. Resist Gram positive bacteria, Gram negative bacteria, fungi, yeast, etc. by releasing formaldehyde;

*Applied in chemical, pharmaceutical, textile, biochemical and other fields.

*Hydrantoin is mainly used for nitrofurantoin and furazidin. Used for synthesizing N-benzyl aplysinopsin analogues as anticancer agents; Used for synthesizing D-glutamic acid based inhibitors; Crotonyl-2,4-thiazolidinedione for the synthesis of diabetes and GSK-3 β inhibitor for brain permeability; Used for synthesizing thiazolidinedione derivatives and radiosensitizers as 15-PGDH inhibitors.
