[Usage]

*Eugenol has a strong carnation and musk smell, which is the basis for the blending of healthy and finished essence, and is used in the blending of essence such as cosmetics, soaps, and food. Eugenol has strong bactericidal properties and can be used as a local analgesic for dental caries, while also having local anti-corrosion effects. Eugenol is an intermediate in some other spices, and its derivatives include isoeugenol, methyleugenol, methyleugenol, acetyleugenol, acetyl eugenol, benzyl eugenol, etc. When eugenol is heated in potassium hydroxide, the double bonds of the propylene group undergo rearrangement, becoming conjugated with the benzene ring α- Propylene group is used to obtain isoeugenol, which is acetylated and mildly oxidized, α- Propylene group cleavage yields vanillin, which is an important component of artificial seasoning.
