Relative density 1.50, refractive index 1.546. Soluble in water, slightly soluble in alcohol, insoluble in ammonia water. Heating to 95 ℃ for dehydration, high temperature decomposition produces carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, and ammonia. Can react with other metal salts to form oxalates with lower solubility.

[Usage]

1. As a pharmaceutical raw material, it is used to synthesize some anti epileptic, anti allergic, anti hypertensive and other drugs;

2.Ammonium oxalate can be used to treat wastewater containing heavy metal ions, such as copper, lead, nickel, and other heavy metal ions. Ammonium oxalate forms insoluble precipitates with these heavy metal ions, thereby reducing the concentration of heavy metal ions in wastewater and achieving the goal of purifying wastewater;

3. As fertilizer, it provides nitrogen and oxygen elements for crops. Meanwhile, ammonium oxalate can also be used as a pesticide to kill some pests and pathogens;

4. As a food additive, used to improve the taste and quality of food.
