[Usage]

As a common intermediate in organic synthesis, is mainly used to convert the bromine atoms into functional groups, including nucleophilic substitution reactions of alcohol and amine compounds under alkaline conditions. The acetal structure plays a protective role on the aldehyde group. In addition to being the target of attack, bromine atoms can also be used as corresponding format reagents to perform nucleophilic addition reactions on aldehyde ketone carbonyl compounds.
