White or almost white crystalline powder.Decomposition into benzyl chloride and trimethylamine above 135℃, easily soluble in water, ethanol, and butanol, insoluble in ether. Easy to deliquescence, usually a 60% solution with a relative density of 1.07 (20/20℃).

*Curing accelerators for polymer polymerization such as powder coatings and epoxy resins, organic bentonite and montmorillonite modifiers, chlorine transfer agents for crude oil dechlorination, and oilfield chemicals.

*Phase transfer catalysts in organic synthesis chemistry, such as halogen displacement reactions, oxidation-reduction reactions, N-alkylation, dichlorocarbones, and other reactions.
