Behenic acid is a saturated straight chain dicarboxylic acid obtained by hydrogenation of double bonds in the molecule of erucic acid. Its unique characteristics are incomparable to other saturated fatty acids. decanoic acid is a raw material for producing decanol, decanoic acid ester, decanoic acid amide, and other raw materials. Its derivatives are widely used in the plastic industry, metal manufacturing industry, food industry, pharmaceutical industry, and cosmetics industry. Shanyu acid can be used as a medicinal antifungal agent, agricultural insecticide, and cosmetic additive. Used as a finishing and softening agent in the textile industry. Its silver salt is used as a thermal developing photosensitive material and can be made into "dry silver paper". Ammonium salts have anti-corrosion properties and can prevent algae from adhering to ships.
